Why?
Having built Electron apps from scratch I find myself constantly having to redo the same things over and over. Creating an Electron app from scratch can actually be a real headache, with so much boiler plate and niche cases to figure out for everything from managing licenses, files, state, the entire build process and so on. So I created ShipElectron to make this process easier.
What do I get?
You get a well documented electron project template with everything you need to create an electron app. ShipElectron uses a minimal set of dependencies, and the code is made to be secure, transparent and easy to modify. On top of that the project compiles for both the web (as an SPA) and desktop (electron). When you use the file API or state API it will automatically detect where it is running and work irregardless of platform.
Will it work with my existing react components?
Yes. The application is basically a web application with a wrapper around it, and any existing react components you have should work. The project uses Tailwindcss v4.
What happens after I buy it?
After you buy ShipElectron you will immediately get access to a download of the latest version. If you purchased the lifetime updates then you will receive an invite to a Github repository within 24 hours from where you will be able to access updates in the future.
Can I sell my application commercially?
Yes, you can sell the applications you create using ShipElectron in commercially. Please find exact terms in our license agreement and terms of service.
